Terry Briers, 78, of Talcott went home to be with the Lord Monday April 17, 2017 at Summers County Appalachian Regional Hospital following a long illness.
Born August 17, 1938 at Hinton he was a son of the late Leslie "Les" and Mary McGhee Briers.
Terry was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hinton. He was a US Army Veteran and a retired security officer for local healthcare facilities. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, reading and spending time with his loving family, grandchildren and pets.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving and devoted wife of 44 years, Janie Garten Briers at home; one son, Jamie Briers of Talcott; one grandson, Jacob Briers of Charleston; Paula Miller and husband Melvin, Brenda Garten, Bernard Garten and wife Shirley and numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
Funeral services will be 12:00 P.M. Friday, April 21, 2017 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in the Restwood Memorial Gardens in Hinton. Friends may call from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral parlors.
Pallbearers: Evan, Eric and Gregory Williams, Michael Boone, Roger Cox and Jeff Garten.
