Sarah L. Lilly, 83, of Hinton went home to be with the Lord Friday, June 26, 2015 following a long illness.
Born September 28, 1931 at True, she was the daughter of the late Dury Clarence and Trusby Eanes Neely.
Sarah was a lifelong resident of Summers County and a member of the First Baptist Church of Hinton. She was a graduate of Hinton High School, a former employee of G.C. Murphy Co., VEPCO, WV Power and the Sandman Motel. Sarah enjoyed sewing, traveling, homemaking and spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elton Lilly; two brothers, John David Neely and Bobby Neely and special friend, Bob Lane.
She is survived by her son Rick Lilly and wife Janet of Summersville; two granddaughters, Emily Loving and husband Mike of Summersville and Becky Gilbar and husband Michael of Summersville; four great grandchildren, Isaac, Zoe and Elizabeth Gilbar and Aaron Loving; two sister in laws, Elizabeth Neely of Clifton Forge and Nancy Neely of Hinton; several nieces and nephews and two longtime friends, Patty Angle of Forest Hill and Mary Lambert of Hinton.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Hinton with Pastors Robbie Merritt and Jeff Canterbury officiating. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Burial Park. Friends may call from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors in Hinton.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
