Nina Richmond, 62, of New River Road, Hinton formerly of Portsmouth, OH went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, November 10, 2016 at her home following a short illness.
Born May 30, 1954 at Irish Mountain, she was a daughter of Janie Bragg Pentheny of Portsmouth, OH.
Nina was a former home health care provider who loved taking care of her beloved cats, bowling, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by one brother, Varney Pentheny.
Besides her mother those left to cherish her memory include one daughter, Kristina Sweeney and husband Sidney of Jumping Branch; three grandchildren, Matthew, Brittany, and Nicholas Richmond; three sisters, Donna Vest of Knoxville, TN, Lorena Riley of Wheelersburg, OH, Jrene Anders of Oak Harbor, OH; two brothers, Ronny Pentheny of Portsmouth, OH and Kevin Pentheny of New Boston, OH; lifelong friend, William Richmond and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be 2:30 PM Sunday, November 13, 2016 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Eddie Crews officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery on New River Road, near Hinton. Friends may call from 1:30 PM Sunday at the funeral parlors until time of services. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
