Mrs. Neta Mateele Martin Hamm, 88, of Nimitz formally of Gauley Bridge passed peacefully on May 1, 2015 at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital following a short illness.
Born February 14, 1927 at Gauley Bridge she was the daughter of the late Christopher C. Martin and Annie Bell Neil. A graduate of Gauley Bridge High School and a member of the Gauley Bridge Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by her husband Julian L. Hamm.
Survived by her two sons, Gary E. Hamm and wife Debbie of Charleston and James W. "Jimmy" Hamm and wife Linda of Gauley Bridge; one grandson, James "J.W." Hamm and wife Tara of Nimitz; one granddaughter, Melissa D. Hamm Richardson and husband Bill of Daniels; four great grandchildren, Jamison and Paisley Hamm of Nimitz, Alexandria "Alex" Stevens and Julianna Richardson both of Daniels and many other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 6, 2015 with Pastor Bill Fox officiating. Burial will follow in the Lilly-Crews Cemetery at Nimitz. Friends may call from 11:30 A.M. until time of services Wednesday at the funeral parlors.
Family and close friends will serve as pallbearers.
Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton.
