Cecil Arthur Romanello, 78, of Forest Hill went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital following a sudden illness.
Born October 5, 1937 at Hinton he was a son of the late Julian E. and Lockie V. Graham Romanello.
Cecil was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church at Forest Hill and Summers and Monroe County's Council on Aging. He retired from Cleveland Pneumatic Tool Company. He enjoyed hunting, camping, outdoors, dancing, attending his grandsons' football games and spending time with family and friends.
Cecil was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Burnice Romanello; one daughter, Patricia Kaye Romanello; one son, Brent Arthur Romanello; one grandson, Brian Christopher Romanello; one sister, Audrey Brown and two brothers, Lloyd Romanello and Ray Romanello.
Those left to cherish his memory include two daughters, Elizabeth Romanello and Mark Borcher of Martinsburg and Carol Horney and husband Sonny of Peterstown; one son, Anthony Romanello and wife Tommi Lynn of Forest Hill; fourteen grandchildren, Jeffrey and Shannon, Trent and Cathy, Ali and Nathan, Justin and Amber, Matthew, Savannah, Nicholas, Lily, Hannah, Katherine, Brent, Jacob, Avery and Laken; seven great grandchildren, Connor, Olivia, Cora, Trestyn, Mila Burnie, Cameron and Benjamin; companion, Dinah Rhodes of Forest Hill; siblings, Melvin, Angeleen, Mildred, Ira, Freda and Ralph and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Friendship Baptist Church with Pastor Joe Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenbrier Burial Park. Friends may call from 6:00 - 9:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral parlors.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
