Bethel Hatcher

Bethel M. Hatcher, 78, of Williamson, formerly of Nimitz, passed away Friday, August 15, 2014 at the Williamson Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
Born May 8, 1936 in Summers County, Bethel was the son of the late Wilbur L. "Bill" and Ruie Mae Lilly Hatcher. Bethel proudly served in United States Army during the Korean Conflict and formerly worked for the C&O Railroad as well as selling cars for Hatcher's Auto Sales.
Besides his parents, Bethel was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold "Hal" Hatcher and Gary Hatcher; and one sister, Patty Whitten.
Bethel is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Thursday August 28, 2014 at the Lilly-Crews Cemetery at Nimitz with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Friends are asked to gather at the cemetery from 1:30 PM until time of services at the cemetery.
